Our heavy duty steel plate planters are the optimum way to grow vegetables, herbs, or ornamental plants in your terrace garden. Its rectilinear geometry maximizes soil volume so that plants don't become prematurely root-bound. In contrast to clay planters, the steel plate's low porosity prevents the wicking of water from the soil and allows you to go longer between waterings. The standard white powdercoat is the ideal color for reducing solar heat gain, however, custom colors are also available, including raw steel. Welded lateral bracing on the interior prevents bulge-out. This is a product that will last for many decades with periodic maintenance every 4-5 years. The prices shown include the shipping costs to any state in the continental U.S. This item will ship inside a custom fabricated wooden crate fixed to a pallet to prevent damage during shipping.
